Numbers 16:48

“And he stood between the dead and the living, and the plague was stopped.”

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭16:48‬

Stood H5975: Abide; arise; endure; present self; raise up; stand firm.

“Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:6-11‬

And he stood between the dead and the living,

“Other than this one thing that I cried out while standing among them: ‘It is with respect to the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you this day.’”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭24:21‬

“Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and he who testifies for me is on high.”

‭‭Job‬ ‭16:19‬

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2:5‬

“But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:6‬

“Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:15‬

And the plague was stopped.

“And through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:20‬

“So they picked up Jonah and hurled him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging. …And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”

‭‭Jonah‬ ‭1:15, 17‬

“For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:40‬

“My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. …O Lord, you will ordain peace for us, for you have indeed done for us all our works.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:9, 12‬
