Ezekiel 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
The goodman of the house of God shall watch;
Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up
2. Jesus asked Peter and the two sons of Zebedee to watch with him, but they couldn’t;
Matthew 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
3. All shall watch;
Mark 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
4. The shepherds in the field was watching over their flock by night;
Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
5. We as workers together with God, shall minister to God in watchings;

6. Paul told the Corinthians, Ephesians, Colossians, Thessalonians, and Timothy: Watch!
1 Corinthians 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
1 Thessalonians 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
2 Timothy 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
7. They that have the rule over us watch for our souls;
Hebrews 13:17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
8. Watch, for the end of all things is at hand;
1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
9. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die;

10. Watch for one’s own nakedness.
Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Finally, the watchman shall hear the word at the LORD’s mouth, and warn them from Him:
