Deuteronomy‬ ‭1‬:‭34‬-‭36

“And the LORD heard your words and was angered, and he swore, ‘Not one of these men of this evil generation shall see the good land that I swore to give to your fathers, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh. He shall see it, and to him and to his children I will give the land on which he has trodden, because he has wholly followed the LORD!’”

And the LORD heard your words and was angered,

Caleb H3612: Perhaps a form of כֶּלֶב H3611, or else from the same root in the sense of forcible. H3611: From an unused root meaning to yelp, or else to attack ; a dog.


because he has wholly followed the LORD!



Jephunneh H3312: From פָּנָה H6437; he will be prepared. H6437: A primitive root; to turn ; by implication to face, that is, appear, look, etc. BDB Lexicon:

Jephunneh = "He will be facing"


He shall see it,
