Deuteronomy 2:1-3

Deuteronomy 2:1-3

“Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea, as the LORD told me. And for many days we traveled around Mount Seir. Then the LORD said to me, ‘You have been traveling around this mountain country long enough. Turn northward”

Deuteronomy 2:1-3

Then we turned and journeyed into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea, as the LORD told me.

Psalm 77:7 "Will the LORD spurn forever, and never again be favorable?77:8 Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time?77:9 Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?" Selah77:10 Then I said, "I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High."77:11 I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.77:12 I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.77:19 Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.77:20 You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

And for many days we traveled around Mount Seir.

Seir H8165: Formed like שָׂעִיר H8163; rough ; Seir, a mountain of Idumaea and its aboriginal occupants, also one in Palestine. H8163: From שָׂעַר H8175; shaggy ; as noun, a he goat ; by analogy a faun: - devil, goat, hairy, kid, rough, satyr.

Genesis 36:8 So Esau settled in the hill country of Seir. (Esau is Edom.)

Ezekiel 35:2 "Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,35:3 and say to it, Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you, and I will make you a desolation and a waste.35:4 I will lay your cities waste, and you shall become a desolation, and you shall know that I am the LORD.

Then the LORD said to me, ‘You have been traveling around this mountain country long enough.

Joshua 6:3 You shall march around the city, all the men of war going around the city once. Thus shall you do for six days.6:4 Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark. On the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.

Turn northward

Zechariah 6:7 When the strong horses came out, they were impatient to go and patrol the earth. And he said, "Go, patrol the earth." So they patrolled the earth.6:8 Then he cried to me, "Behold, those who go toward the north country have set my Spirit at rest in the north country."

Ecclesiastes 1:6 The wind blows to the south and goes around to the north; around and around goes the wind, and on its circuits the wind returns.

Ecclesiastes 11:3 If the clouds are full of rain, they empty themselves on the earth, and if a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie.11:4 He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.11:5 As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

Jeremiah 3:12 Go, and proclaim these words toward the north, and say,"'Return, faithless Israel, declares the LORD. I will not look on you in anger, for I am merciful, declares the LORD; I will not be angry forever.
