Deuteronomy‬ ‭1‬:‭37‬-‭40

“Even with me the LORD was angry on your account and said, ‘You also shall not go in there. Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall enter. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. And as for your little ones, who you said would become a prey, and your children, who today have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there. And to them I will give it, and they shall possess it. But as for you, turn, and journey into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea.’”

Even with me the LORD was angry on your account and said, ‘You also shall not go in there.

Joshua the son of Nun,


Joshua H3091: From יְהֹוָה H3068 and יָשַׁע H3467; Jehovah-saved ; Jehoshua (that is, Joshua), the Jewish leader. Joshua or Jehoshua = "Jehovah is salvation"


Nun H5126: From נוּן H5125; perpetuity. H5125: A primitive root; to resprout, that is, propagate by shoots; figuratively, to be perpetual. Nun = "fish" or " posterity"


Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit.11:2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.
