Numbers‬ ‭20:3-4

“And the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Would that we had perished when our brothers perished before the LORD! Why have you brought the assembly of the LORD into this wilderness, that we should die here, both we and our cattle?”

Quarreled H7378: to toss that is grapple; to wrangle; hold a controversy; to defend; to contend.

“It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭20:3‬

“Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭2:1-2‬

“But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. When our brothers perished before the LORD!

Our brothers: those who offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, those who brought up a bad report of the land, and those who rebelled against the LORD.

“Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it and laid incense on it and offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, which he had not commanded them. And fire came out from before the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.”

‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭10:1-2‬

“And the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing up a bad report about the land— the men who brought up a bad report of the land—died by plague before the LORD.”
