Numbers 28:1-2


“The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the people of Israel and say to them, ‘My offering, my food for my food offerings, my pleasing aroma, you shall be careful to offer to me at its appointed time.’”

Numbers 28:1-2

My offering,


Hebrews 10:6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.10:7 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come to do your will, O God, as it is written of me in the scroll of the book.'"


Micah 6:6 "With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?"6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?



my food for my food offerings, my pleasing aroma,


John 4:32 But he said to them,"I have food to eat that you do not know about."4:33 So the disciples said to one another, "Has anyone brought him something to eat?"4:34 Jesus said to them,"My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.



you shall be careful to offer to me at its appointed time.


Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:3:2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;3:3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;3:4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;3:5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;3:6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;3:7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;3:8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

Numbers 28:3-6


“And you shall say to them, This is the food offering that you shall offer to the LORD: two male lambs a year old without blemish, day by day, as a regular offering. The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; also a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with a quarter of a hin of beaten oil. It is a regular burnt offering, which was ordained at Mount Sinai for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.”

Numbers 28:3-6


And you shall say to them, This is the food offering that you shall offer to the LORD:


Exodus 29:18 and burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD. It is a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.


Romans 12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.


1 Corinthians 3:12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—3:13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.

The one lamb you shall offer in the morning,

Psalm 31:12 I have been forgotten like one who is dead; I have become like a broken vessel.

Isaiah 53:10 Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

It is a regular burnt offering, which was ordained at Mount Sinai


Deuteronomy 32:46 he said to them, "Take to heart all the words by which I am warning you today, that you may command them to your children, that they may be careful to do all the words of this law.32:47 For it is no empty word for you, but your very life, and by this word you shall live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess."



for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD.

Numbers 28:7-8


“Its drink offering shall be a quarter of a hin for each lamb. In the Holy Place you shall pour out a drink offering of strong drink to the LORD. The other lamb you shall offer at twilight. Like the grain offering of the morning, and like its drink offering, you shall offer it as a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD.”

Numbers 28:7-8


Its drink offering shall be a quarter of a hin for each lamb.


Exodus 22:29 "You shall not delay to offer from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to me.



In the Holy Place you shall pour out a drink offering of strong drink to the LORD.


SongofSongs 8:2 I would lead you and bring you into the house of my mother— she who used to teach me. I would give you spiced wine to drink, the juice of my pomegranate.



The other lamb you shall offer at twilight. Like the grain offering of the morning, and like its drink offering,


Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.



you shall offer it as a food offering (KJV: a sacrifice made by fire), with a pleasing aroma to the LORD.


Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.6:11 Give us this day our daily bread,


John 4:34 Jesus said to them,"My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.


1 Corinthians 3:13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.3:14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.




Numbers 28:9-10


“On the Sabbath day, two male lambs a year old without blemish, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and its drink offering: this is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.”

On the Sabbath day,


Hebrews 4:9 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God,4:10 for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.



two male lambs a year old without blemish, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and its drink offering:


On the Sabbath day, the offering of fine flour doubles.


Romans 5:15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.



this is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.


Luke 11:42 …These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.




Numbers 28:11-15


“At the beginnings of your months, you shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD: two bulls from the herd, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish; also three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for each bull, and two tenths of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for the one ram; and a tenth of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for every lamb; for a burnt offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD. Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bull, a third of a hin for a ram, and a quarter of a hin for a lamb. This is the burnt offering of each month throughout the months of the year. Also one male goat for a sin offering to the LORD; it shall be offered besides the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.”

Numbers 28:11-15


At the beginnings of your months,


Ecclesiastes 1:9 What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun.1:10 Is there a thing of which it is said,"See, this is new"? It has been already in the ages before us.


Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.



you shall offer a burnt offering to the LORD: two bulls from the herd, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish;


Matthew 5:26 Truly, I say to you, you will never get out until you have paid the last penny.



also three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for each bull, and two tenths of fine flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for the one ram; and a tenth of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for every lamb; for a burnt offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD. Their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine for a bull, a third of a hin for a ram, and a quarter of a hin for a lamb.


For the lamb, a tenth of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering;


Hebrews 7:4 See how great this man was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils!7:9 One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham,



For the ram, two tenths;


Matthew 25:33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.


Isaiah 61:6 but you shall be called the priests of the LORD; they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God; you shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory you shall boast.61:7 Instead of your shame there shall be a double portion; instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot; therefore in their land they shall possess a double portion; they shall have everlasting joy.


For the bull, three tenths.


Exodus 32:3 So all the people took off the rings of gold that were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.32:4 And he received the gold from their hand and fashioned it with a graving tool and made a golden calf. And they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt!"


1 Kings 12:28 So the king took counsel and made two calves of gold. And he said to the people, "You have gone up to Jerusalem long enough. Behold your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt."


James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.


Ezekiel 21:14 "As for you, son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yes, three times, the sword for those to be slain. It is the sword for the great slaughter, which surrounds them,



This is the burnt offering off each month throughout the months of the year.


Psalm 1:3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.


Revelation 22:2 through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.



Also one male goat for a sin offering to the LORD;


Leviticus 17:7 So they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to goat demons, after whom they whore. This shall be a statute forever for them throughout their generations.


Proverbs 30:31 the strutting rooster, the he-goat, and a king whose army is with him.


Joshua 12:24 … in all, thirty-one kings.



it shall be offered besides the regular burnt offering and its drink offering.


Acts 15:28 For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay on you no greater burden than these requirements:15:29 that you abstain from what has been sacrificed to idols, and from blood, and from what has been strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell."




Numbers 28:16-18


“On the fourteenth day of the first month is the LORD’s Passover, and on the fifteenth day of this month is a feast. Seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,”

“On the fourteenth day of the first month is the LORD’s Passover,


Numbers 9:2 "Let the people of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time.


Exodus 12:11 In this manner you shall eat it: with your belt fastened, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. It is the LORD's Passover.


“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

and on the fifteenth day of this month


Numbers 33:3 They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover, the people of Israel went out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,


John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.



is a feast. Seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.


“My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever. I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.”

On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,

Numbers 28:19-25


“but offer a food offering, a burnt offering to the LORD: two bulls from the herd, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old; see that they are without blemish; also their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil; three tenths of an ephah shall you offer for a bull, and two tenths for a ram; a tenth shall you offer for each of the seven lambs; also one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you. You shall offer these besides the burnt offering of the morning, which is for a regular burnt offering. In the same way you shall offer daily, for seven days, the food of a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. It shall be offered besides the regular burnt offering and its drink offering. And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work.”

Numbers 28:19-25


but offer a food offering, a burnt offering to the LORD: two bulls from the herd, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old; see that they are without blemish; also their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil; three tenths of an ephah shall you offer for a bull, and two tenths for a ram; a tenth shall you offer for each of the seven lambs; also one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you. You shall offer these besides the burnt offering of the morning, which is for a regular burnt offering.


These are the same as shall be offered at the beginning of each month.

And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work.

Numbers 28:26, 31


Numbers 28:26 "On the day of the firstfruits, when you offer a grain offering of new grain to the LORD at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,28:31 Besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering, you shall offer them and their drink offering. See that they are without blemish.


On the day of the firstfruits,


Matthew 13:26 So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also.



when you offer a grain offering of new grain to the LORD at your Feast of Weeks,


Philippians 3:13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.


Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless,17:2 that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly."


Matthew 5:48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.



See that they are without blemish.


Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.2:14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing,2:15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,2:16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.
