Numbers 29:1-40

Numbers 29:1, 7, 12


Numbers 29:1 "On the first day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work. It is a day for you to blow the trumpets,29:7 "On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation and afflict yourselves. You shall do no work,29:12 "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days.


On the first day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work. It is a day for you to blow the trumpets,


Joshua 6:4 Seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark. On the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets.



On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation and afflict yourselves. You shall do no work,

On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days.

Numbers 29:12-34


Numbers 29:12 "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the LORD seven days.29:13 And you shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD, thirteen bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old; they shall be without blemish;29:17 "On the second day twelve bulls from the herd, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,29:20 "On the third day eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,29:23 "On the fourth day ten bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,29:26 "On the fifth day nine bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,29:29 "On the sixth day eight bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,29:32 "On the seventh day seven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,


The number of bulls to be sacrificed decreases each day.


John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

The numbers for the rams and limbs are doubled.


2 Kings 2:9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you." And Elisha said, "Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me."


Fourteen, double of seven.


Revelation 5:6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.



29:34 also one male goat for a sin offering; …


Jeremiah 50:8 Flee from the midst of Babylon, and go out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as male goats before the flock.




Numbers 29:35-38


“On the eighth day you shall have a solemn assembly. You shall not do any ordinary work, but you shall offer a burnt offering, a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the LORD: one bull, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish, and the grain offering and the drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, in the prescribed quantities; also one male goat for a sin offering; besides the regular burnt offering and its grain offering and its drink offering.”

On the eighth day


Genesis 17:12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised. Every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring,

you shall have a solemn assembly.

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.



You shall not do any ordinary work,

Hebrews 12:26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens."




Numbers 29:39-40


“These you shall offer to the LORD at your appointed feasts, in addition to your vow offerings and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your grain offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.” So Moses told the people of Israel everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.”

Feasts H4150: From יָעַד H3259; properly an appointment, that is, a fixed time or season; specifically a festival ; conventionally a year ; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation ; by extension, the place of meeting ; also a signal (as appointed beforehand). H3259: A primitive root; to fix upon (by agreement or appointment); by implication to meet (at a stated time), to summon (to trial), to direct (in a certain quarter or position), to engage (for marriage).


Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:


Isaiah 55:6 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;



in addition to your vow offerings and your freewill offerings,

So Moses told the people of Israel everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
